Personal

Warnock immigrated to Canada with his family in 1833, settling in Galt (now Cambridge) in 1835. His father was a millwright and managed Dumfries Mills.

Warnock married Stephanie Hespeler in 1850, the sister of Jacob Hespeler. They had two sons, James Edward and Charles Rayfield Hunter Warnock.
